About The DJ

DJ Mashup is a Dj based out of the Cleveland(Ohio) area. He has been a computer dj for over a year and continues to find joy in mixing music.....mashup.......after mashup........after mashup. He enjoys blending unusual styles of music together to create one funkadelic sound that he hopes all will enjoy. He has been inspired by the likes of DJ Dangermouse, Jay-Z, MC Sleazy, and others just to name a few. He also is an aspiring young Dj that hopefully will keep the consistency and the X factor in his mashes for the years to come. He hopes that you enjoy the work that he has done, and offers a taste of some of his "artwork" on this site. You can find free streams, downloads, and pictures of the mashups that he has created. So.....take a look around or take a listen...or both and enjoy the time at DJ Mashups Cyber Crib.

The Pink Album: The Debut Album

Back in late 2004 and early 2005, DJ Mashup adapted ideas from DJ Dangermouse's album: The Grey Album. Which was a melting pot mashup album that had the killer rhymes of Jay-Z mixed with a backing band you may have heard of.........The Beatles. Anyway, many people know about The infamous Grey Album and the controversy that surrounded it. The huge controversy was that Dangermouse illegally produced and distributed this new album and handed out around 3,000 copies. The Beatles label cried fowl, and the government slapped Dangermouse with a Cease and Desist order.....but that was his album and this is mine. My album has the rhymes of Jay-Z mixed with the beats of Pink Floyd, and just as the Grey Album and other copycat albums had lowpoints on their mashup lp, so did mine. Many tracks were enjoyed by many friends and people from the internet. Though my idea: The Pink Album was an adaption of Dangermouse's idea, i don't consider my album as a copycat as many people do, but as a new creation, after all the idea of a mashup is based around these adaptions, and its how you adapt and add onto the original ideas that will determine how great the end result is. I'll give you the tracklist and also, from where i got the samples in the first place:
